We saw an opportunity for Proterra’s bus fleet to be implemented in cities undergoing significant urban development, with growing populations, and an emphasis on sustainable practices.

Redesigning the Bus Charging Head

With the support of Proterra’s engineering department, I helped to redesign the enclosure of the bus charger to better sync with the EV bus fleet evolution. An LED component was also pitched as a way to draw intrigue to the mechanism when in use.

Branding the Charger Enclosure

Proterra’s charging mechanism sits at a height approximate to that of most street lamp posts. With this in mind, we identified another opportunity to incorporate custom decals with each bus fleet at charging stations.
